MoU signed with Imperial College London, UM to launch 1+3 PhD scheme
The University of Macau (UM) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Imperial College London (Imperial) to forge linkage and collaboration between the two universities.
Three international conferences in big data and artificial intelligence held in Macao
The University of Macau (UM) Faculty of Science and Technology, the UM State Key Lab of Internet of Things for Smart City, and the Macao Convention and Exhibition Association, have successfully assisted Macao in obtaining the right to host the three most influential international conferences in the areas of big data and artificial intelligence, namely the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers International Conference on Data Engineering 2019 (ICDE 2019), the Pacific-Asia Conference on Knowledge Discovery and Data Mining 2019 (PAKDD 2019), and the International Joint Conference on Artificial Intelligence 2019 (IJCAI 2019).
Minister of Science and Technology highly praises UM’s research achievements
A delegation led by Wang Zhigang, minister of science and technology of China, today (28 March) visited the University of Macau (UM) and was warmly received by UM University Council Chair Lam Kam Seng, Rector Yonghua Song, and Vice Rectors Lionel Ni and Ge Wei. Experts in electrical engineering from Zhejiang University visit UM to discuss new technologies for building smart cities
A delegation from Zhejiang University’s College of Electrical Engineering, led by its dean Sheng Kuang, recently visited the University of Macau (UM) and participated in a seminar on new demand-side technologies for building smart cities, which was co-organised by UM’s State Key Laboratory of the Internet of Things for Smart City and Companhia de Electricidade de Macau (CEM).
