On October 23, Zheng Shunchao, Director of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge Authority, and Su Quanke, Chief Engineer, led a delegation to visit the University of Macau and met with Song Yonghua, President of the University of Macau, and representatives of the person in charge of the intelligent operation and maintenance research project of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge. The two parties conducted in-depth exchanges on promoting scientific research and management of intelligent maintenance and safe operation of transportation construction in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
During the visit, accompanied by Dr. Zhen Yong, Acting Director of Global Affairs, and Zhou Wanhuan, Director of the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, Director Zheng Shunchao and his delegation visited the National Key Laboratory of Smart City Internet of Things and the National Key Laboratory of Analog and Mixed Signal VLSI of the University of Macau. Laboratory, and listened to the explanation of the construction situation and development strategy, scientific research topics and instruments and equipment of the National Key Laboratory of the University of Macau. After the period, Song Yonghua, President of the University of Macau, met with members of the delegation and held talks with representatives from the University of Macau participating in the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge scientific research project. He heard about the cooperation project status of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge scientific research project, and learned about the cooperation between the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge Authority and The National Key Laboratory of the University of Macau has cutting-edge scientific research results in bridge construction, operation and maintenance, and hopes that both parties will deepen cooperation in future scientific research projects and actively participate in the application for major national scientific research projects and construction, with the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge and “Transportation Taking the “Strengthening the Country” strategy as an opportunity, we will seize opportunities, face challenges, and strive to promote the development of national smart cities and transportation infrastructure, and play a more active role in the prosperity of the motherland, the development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, and the integration of the two sides of the Taiwan Straits.
