To strengthen technical exchanges and research cooperation in the field of cultural heritage preservation in Macao, the University of Macau (UM) and the Cultural Affairs Bureau of the Macao SAR Government have signed a cooperation framework agreement. According to the agreement, the two parties will leverage their respective strengths in the application of cultural heritage preservation technologies, monitoring and data analysis. They will also jointly promote the scientific application and sustainable development of cultural heritage conservation technologies. Yonghua Song, rector of UM and director of the State Key Laboratory of Internet of Things for Smart City (SKL-IOTSC), and Leong Wai Man, president of the Cultural Affairs Bureau, signed the agreement. The two parties also held a meeting to discuss the first phase of cooperation. In addition, representatives of the Cultural Affairs Bureau visited SKL-IOTSC to learn more about the operation and research capacity of the laboratory.
