The University of Macau’s (UM) State Key Laboratory of Internet of Things for Smart City (SKL-IOTSC) recently held its annual academic meeting for the year 2020 on November 16. During the event, faculty members and students in the lab shared the latest progress of their teams’ research projects and had in-depth discussions on related research topics. The meeting was chaired by Yonghua Song, rector of UM and director of the lab. Both Rector Song and Paulo Cheang, administrative committee member of the Macao Science and Technology Development Fund, expressed their hope that UM faculty and students would focus on research topics closely related to smart city development.
