In 2020, the UM and the Aerospace Information Research Institute (AIR) of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) established the joint lab through which both parties aim to leverage their academic strengths and resources to carry out innovative research collaboratively in the fields of satellite payload for remote sensing and the applications of aerospace information, in order to promote each other’s research and technological development in related scientific fields and deepen the collaboration on nurturing excellence. They also agreed to jointly train the talents in the related areas.
