The joint lab, established in 2022, is the first industry-university-research cooperation platform in the field of energy and power between Guangdong and Macao. It aims to leverage complementary advantages, develop scientific and technological research, talent training, and industrial promotion in carbon neutrality and smart energy and electricity, achieve deep integration in industry-university-research, and facilitate the innovative development of Macao, the Greater Bay Area and even the national energy and power industry. The joint laboratory will carry out key scientific and technological projects in three major directions, including Internet of Things, big data, and artificial intelligence technologies for carbon neutrality, low-carbon operation, control and protection for smart integrated energy systems, and flexible power distribution technology.
